FIRST WILDERNESS TEAM

Students from Skidmore College, SUNY Plattsburgh, and SUNY Adirondack are driving our storytelling collaborations.

Our Editorial Board oversees our collaborations. Our Production Team is led by three Editorial Board members: Warren County GIS Administrator Sara Frankenfeld and Cliff & Redfield Interactive's Dan Forbush and Bill Walker. Our grant from the Warren County Department of Planning and Community Development enables us to pay stipends to interns who are learning and applying spatial and collaborative tools in preparing for careers in journalism, public relations, education, planning, and digital media

Our team is responsible for producing Trip Reports, Features, A Collaborative History, and Living with Wilderness. We soon will launch Explore Warren County, a mobile app that delivers GPS-triggered audio narratives to visitors’ phones.

Warren County GIS Administrator Sara Frankenfeld has been making GIS-enabled maps for 25 years. A San Francisco Bay Area native, she spent the summers of her childhood at her family's camp near Lake George.

Cliff & Redfield Interactive Managing Director Bill Walker and Founder and Editor Dan Forbush have been friends and professional colleagues for more than 40 years. Beginning their work with Warren County in 2021, they coordinate storytelling collaborations in CRI’s content engine.
